Ready, Set, Exposure!

The year 2012 has been a tough one for me and not in the ways that are specific or stemmed from one tragic event.  Mainly the year has been a dull ugh.  There is uncertainty and vagueness in some parts, there has been some classic soul searching, and there has been me trying to wrangle control and then realizing that I’m not in control.  I know, get to the good part already!

So, anyway, I’m hoping 2013 is better.  And, it seems it wants to kick me out of my hiding place for a little exposure.

Remember that loft I keep promising to show you around but I’ve been too shy, too self-conscious to do it?  I can’t believe it, but it will be featured in February’s issue of Atlanta magazine!

Mott’s for Tots…the beverage of choice for artists everywhere.  Just don’t squeeze it!

I’m still nervous about showing my ultimate happy place, but the enthusiasm of so many people about the space has given me some confidence.  Many thanks to Rhoda at Southern Hospitality for tweeting a pic of the loft during our slumber party (aka working on Room Service)…the tweet that started it all!  Thank you to Annette Joseph, Betsy Riley, Lisa Mowry, and Caroline Kilgore for getting the ball rolling.  And thank you to Christina Wedge for gorgeous photos.  So excited!

I am also excited to be working on a curated sale for Joss & Main in early February.  The best part is that 100% of my proceeds will go to my next Room Service project–yippee!  If you have been wanting to contribute to the Room Service volunteer project, this would be a great way.  If you are not a member of the invitation-only shopping site, please let me invite you:

May your year be happy and healthy.  Thank you so much for making The Painted House a part of your day.
