Three good things to share:
First: Ohmygoodness, ohmygoodness, it’s out! The February issue of Atlanta Magazine has arrived with some dreams come true within its pages. My little slice of paradise, my painting studio, made it on two pages. Thank you to Lisa Mowry for the lovely story, to Christina Wedge for the beautiful photos, to Rhoda Vickers and Annette Joseph for getting the ball rolling, and to all the editors at Atlanta Magazine for producing this story. I just can’t believe it.
The loft is such a sacred place for me, feels just like me, and therefore, I was nervous to share it. But it was the encouragement of these ladies in the biz that made me think maybe the place was wonderful to more people than just myself. Thank you for the encouragement and acceptance of the way my blood flows–and, trust me, people, it isn’t normal. Thank you to my husband for giving this place to me to nest it just the way I wanted, and thank you to Chris Lund who made my ideas happen from custom cabinetry, oak chevron track doors, bunk beds, 12-foot tall mirror frame, and neon pink electric cord on everything! Every time I am there working, I text “thank you” to my hubby. It is a gift, and I am so grateful.
Second: The Painted House Curated Collection with Joss & Main is just one week away! I had so much fun putting the collection together that I can’t wait for it to go live. Joss & Main is a home decor flash sale site–it’s members only but you can join here. The best part of doing this sale is that all my proceeds–100%–will go to the spring Room Service project. You can read all about Room Service’s mission on their website–I believe in what they are doing and look forward to working on the next space. And if you join through my link above and buy something purdy for yourself, I will get a $15 credit in my account, which I will also use to buy something for the next Room Service project. I’m sooooo excited about this whole full-circle goodness! One week away!
Third: I have a new blog look! It is just a little tune-up on the layout and graphics. I have a few other things to do on my end–like add my blogroll, which has been in bad need of an update–that I will work on over the next few weeks. I do believe my subscription button at the top is now working–hooray! And, yes, believe it, I’m actually active now on Facebook–so please listen to those voices in your head and like TPH on Facebook. Thank you to Shari and Karen at Little Blue Deer for helping a techless sista out. They were so fast and professional!

Yay!!! Congratulations, Angela on all your news . . . you deserve all this goodness. Now, I just need to get my hands on an Atlanta Lifestyles Magazine. Think I can get one at Barnes & Noble. Oh, I’m just so happy for you. Can’t wait to shop your sale too! The blog is looking great as well. I might need to give the Little Blue Deer women a call too . . . my blog is in desperate need of a tune-up and I’m clueless!

Hooray for you and all that goodness!! So deserved and I can’t wait to see your Joss & Main pics. Happy this week for time to paint, having my daughter Skype me to walk her through making icing (cracks me up) and to have family and friends healthy and content.

What a great magazine spread, and well deserved! I was just in Atlanta (well at the airport) yesterday. My husband got offered a job and we have decided we are moving to NC, we’ll practically be neighbors!
